Reflex Arc is an award-winning, BAFTA-nominated VR, AR and XR developer and software studio based in Leeds, UK, working with organisations worldwide as a long-term software partner.
We deliver immersive experiences, AI and robotics, and bespoke digital platforms: long-running digital work for David Hockney and his studio, projects for leading cultural institutions, and clients including Sky and HSBC. Our work spans culture, film and broadcast, enterprise training and spatial computing.
Fast, accessible solutions that entertain, educate and empower.
Creating realities and real-world results since 2011.
Clients and partners we've built for: broadcasters, studios, museums, charities and the NHS.
We build immersive software and the systems behind it: real-time simulation and digital twins, VR and spatial-computing apps, interactive installations, and the tools artists and researchers use to make and show their work.
AI runs through the work where it earns its place. We've built real-time characters and assistants you can talk to – alongside control policies that train in simulation and hold up on real robots, and the body tracking and spatial audio that make an experience work for blind and partially sighted people and deaf audiences. It's a major part of how we work, too: research, code, tooling. We favour on-device models where the data is personal, and we'll tell you when AI is the wrong tool.
We work as a partner as much as a supplier: embedded creative technologists, an overflow team for studios at capacity, or the immersive advisors on a research programme. Much of our work operates under NDA or as part of larger productions we can't showcase publicly, but this breadth of behind-the-scenes experience means we integrate seamlessly into your pipeline and respect your commercial sensitivities.
Along the way: three Children's BAFTA nominations for our founder's work since 2008, and runners-up at NHK's Japan Prize.
